Converse 

Founded by Marquis Mills Converse in 1908 – and made famous by the basketball player Mr Chuck Taylor – Converse has strong associations with sport, music and youth culture. Meanwhile, Converse's Jack Purcell shoes were launched by the badminton player in 1935, and are distinguished by the signature “smile” marking on the toe.
