How often should you clean a suit?
As rarely as possible. Dry-cleaning is hard on suits; by melting the glue that holds fused suits together it will cause them to start to come apart (look out for telltale bubbling on the chest), while the unsympathetic industrial pressing process that follows the cleaning is hard on good suits. The best way to look after your suits is to store them on wooden hangers when you're not wearing them, air them for a day before putting them back in the closet, use a clothes brush before and after you wear them, and consider investing in a clothes steamer.
