Mr Pearson was born in Sheffield, in the north of England, in 1966. Now a resident of Los Angeles, where we works as a producer, actor, writer and entrepreneur, he remains best known as a model, having had a stellar career for decades. Highlights of his modeling portfolio included work for the fragrance brand Drakkar Noir, for fashion designer Mr Ralph Lauren and a starring role in Mr George Michael's Freedom! '90 video.

What was your most memorable job?
There have been so many memorable jobs! Scuba diving for three weeks in the Seychelles for Bacardi, a fortnight training with the US Olympic Ski team in Aspen for Ralph Lauren and spending a week with Muhammad Ali's trainer in Las Vegas for Drakkar Noir were all pretty amazing.
Aside from these jobs what's modeling really like?
I felt like James Bond for almost a quarter of a century! I travelled the world, danced with the most beautiful women and was photographed by the great creative talents for the finest brands.
What made you successful as a model?
There honestly are better-looking guys than me, and better-built guys than me, but it was about having a great day. If you have a good day and create a good moment it will show in the picture.

You've worked with some of the most beautiful women in the world - what did it teach you?
I grew up with my mother and two older sisters - but no dad - so I'm very easy around women. Manners, patience, humour and engaging conversation are important; women like to dance, laugh and be listened to.
What was the highlight? Getting to kiss Ms Stephanie Seymour for a Drakkar Noir advert?
What can I say? It was lovely and I demanded more takes! Although she was going out with Axl Rose at the time.
What has your work taught you about style?
Keep it classic and keep it masculine. My style icons are Sean Connery in Dr No, Cary Grant in just about any movie, Steve McQueen when I ride my Triumph Bonneville and Paul Newman.
And what are your favourite clothes?
A great pair of Levi's, a beautifully tailored navy blue suit - Ralph Lauren usually works for me and I've just seen an Yves Saint Laurent suit I want - a brown pair of John Lobb brogue shoes and the perfect white shirt and white T-shirt - James Perse does the best.
What keeps you busy these days?
I am carving out a career as a producer, currently raising finance for a documentary about the Harlem Music Festival of 1969. We have 50 hours of unseen footage of Stevie Wonder, BB King, Nina Simone, Jesse Jackson and Sly Stone at the peak of their careers. This needs to be seen!
Why do you choose to live in LA?
For work, for the light and for the energy. Being here is about hanging out with my family, using Soho House as my office or for a breakfast meeting, having dinner at Chateau Marmont, watching the sun go down at Point Dune beach, driving through Malibu Canyon and eating freshly caught fish at the Reel Inn on the Pacific Coast Highway at Topanga Canyon. It's breathtaking.
