From Mr Jimmy Stewart to Mr Cary Grant, the double-breasted jacket has had some distinguished admirers. Unfortunately, after a dark and rather boxy phase during the 1980s, the DB fell out of favour, but now we're glad to see that it's making a comeback. And like any good Eighties star returning to the spotlight, it's had a bit of work done. The new improved shape is slim-tailored and shorter in the body, giving a streamlined look that broadens your shoulders and accentuates your waist. This week brand consultant Mr Dean Webster took to the streets to prove that, when it comes to buttons, sometimes it's the more the merrier.
