Five ways to wear: Pyjamas

Think Mr Cary Grant in a crisp cotton pair, opening the door to a drunk Mr Jimmy Stewart in The Philadelphia Story; or Mr Hugh Hefner in his Playboy heyday, slinking around his mansion in a patterned silk dressing gown; and it's pretty easy to see the point of pyjamas.

Unfortunately Mr Hefner was too busy arranging his nuptials to pose for these photographs, but Mr Simon Howell, a surf-loving photographer from Brooklyn, New York, gallantly stepped in to help.
