the report: Sun spots

For travel bugs, 2012 will be about chasing stolen moments and making good on long-held ambitions: the former could be settled by choosing to check out the wash and brush-ups applied to such legendary hotels as Hollywood's home-from-home, the Hotel Bel-Air, the stellar Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and Portofino's iconic Splendido; for the latter, we'll divide our time between visiting historical sites such as Tunis (scene of the Jasmine Revolution). Regardless, we'll require the sun on our backs and the feeling that beyond everything, travel is an external expression of inner vitality.
