Having studied fine art at Leeds University, half-Dutch, Surrey-born Mr Teo van den Broeke started his journalistic career as contributing writer at design monthly magazine Wallpaper* in 2008. Now the associate editor of British Esquire, he edits the front-of-book Style section and in the last year has also taken on the deputy editor role at the magazine's luxury-focused biannual, Big Black Book, as well as being the grooming editor at global beauty retail site feelunique.com.
A self-proclaimed lover of the colour navy blue, he considers his style aesthetic to be slightly Gallic: "I'm a big fan of a skinny silhouette. I tend to pick one statement piece and work around it. I love the way the Parisians dress, so I try to emulate that. But sometimes I like to throw a more avant-garde piece into the mix." Here he tells us about the 10 items that have currently caught his eye on MR PORTER.
