Mr Jacques Tati's classic 1953 movie Mr Hulot's Holiday beautifully captures life in a small resort on France's Atlantic coast in crisp black and white. Dialogue in the film is minimal, with the accident-prone protagonist Monsieur Hulot providing visual comedy throughout. But with its atmospheric jazz soundtrack and lingering shots of white-sand beaches and the Parisian middle class at rest, it's a tantalising take on the great institution that is the summer holiday. It's with this in mind that we have pulled together six of our favourite getaway looks, for when your out-of-office message is on and relaxation is the order of the day.
