December went by in a whirl - a month of fun and festivities that felt as if it ended before it had even begun. The Art Basel bandwagon rolled with much fanfare into Miami at the start of the month, seemingly offering up a dozen or so parties a night over its four-day residency and departing as swiftly as it arrived, leaving South Beach scenesters bleary-eyed in its wake. Across the pond in London, the annual British Fashion Awards turned into a Ms Kate Moss love-in as the legendary model received a special recognition award for her astonishing 25-year career, and a musical adaptation of American Psycho hit the stage, proving the enduring appeal and relevance not only of Mr Bret Easton Ellis' classic novel, but also of the pinstriped, power-dressing style of the 1980s.
Meanwhile, a raft of premieres took place around the globe as the holiday blockbusters hit theatres, offering the red carpet brigade the opportunity to strut their stuff. And piled on top of it all were the usual festive frivolities - annual get-togethers over long, boozy lunches, the office soiree and its Alka-Seltzer aftermath - as the party season reached its peak. The dust has just about settled, and we've sifted, sorted and selected the eight men who we feel dressed the best throughout the month. To see who we think ended the year on a sartorial high, from Mr Tom Brady in a perfect winter weekend look to Mr Orlando Bloom offering a sleek, youthful take on black tie, click through the gallery, above. Farewell 2013, and here's to an equally stylish 2014.
