This season MR PORTER is adding 14 brands to the line-up of available labels. These range from Savile Row house Kilgour, which has its origins in a 19th-century tailor's shop, to Le Gramme, a new French jewellery brand. From the bold, casual vision of Japan's Sacai, to the flamboyant sartorial precision of Mayfair's Thom Sweeney, the new brands have something to offer men who want to dress up this season. More casual clothes come in the form of selvedge denim expertise from Raleigh Denim, in North Carolina, as well as from Blue Blue Japan, from Tokyo. There are also new designers, including London names J.W.Anderson and Christopher Ræburn, the New York-based Tim Coppens, and Officine Generale from Paris.

What used to be called gentleman's requisites, but are now better known as accessories, haven't been neglected, and include handmade umbrellas by Milan's Francesco Maglia, bison-leather wallets by California's Parabellum, sunglasses by L.G.R, and Yoshida Porter's handsomely practical Japanese luggage.

So whether you take inspiration from a more elegant past, or a functional future, and whether you favour handmade craftsmanship, or laser-cut precision, we hope that one of the new brands, above, will suit your temperament.
