Mr Costantino Affuso is a multitalented multitasker. Indeed he conducts part of this interview on the back of his Vespa while weaving through the streets of Milan. It's hardly surprising he's so busy: he works two jobs. As well as being a successful architect, Mr Affuso, 42, co-owns Raw, the achingly cool interior design concept store in Brera, Milan.
Working alongside his business partner Mr Paolo Badesco, Mr Affuso has developed a magpie's eye for sourcing vintage pieces from flea markets and dealers around the world combined with the aesthete's knack for knowing how to put such disparate things together. These are transferable skills. "There is a correlation between architecture, interior design and fashion," Mr Affuso explains. "Just as a personal stylist steers a client away from clothing that is unflattering so I often have to advise clients as to the best way to design and dress their spaces. It's about finding the right balance."
A man who wears two different hats in his day jobs needs a hard-working and versatile weekday wardrobe. "I don't have a set style," he says. "It depends on my appointments, my location, my mood." We shadowed Mr Affuso as he took us on this tour of his regular haunts by way of sharing his five-day style diary...
