With the cold snap stinging our faces, we took to the streets of the British capital to ask men how they dress for winter and who, if anyone, are their personal style icons. "I think London men are some of the best dressed in the world," claims 20-year-old sales assistant Mr Bradley Stainton, who works on the city's revered Savile Row. "We've got a very strong, very male approach to the way we dress." Across town and 54-year-old manager Mr Peter Allan, who works in the capital's East End, concurs: "Everything goes in London. I think I've got more eccentric as I've got older."
So what is it, exactly, that sets British men apart from their foreign counterparts? "We know how to put old and new looks together," explains sales director Mr Steven Kelly, 43. "In Italy they are quite sartorial, in New York they are quite workwear, whereas we can put both together and make it look really good." Watch the film above for more local style views and pointers.
