Ibiza in 2012 is all about quality of experiences. Whether it's lashings of luxury and world-class entertainment at Lío, or roughing it on the rocks in the pursuit of seafood perfection, there's something for everyone and every wallet. At the top end, Ibiza's five-star scene has never looked sharper - a waterside table at Lío is the Med's most sought-after reservation right now (just try booking for a Saturday night) and the place is justly packed. Moments away, new kid on the block Mr Giuseppe Cipriani's Downtown Ibiza is bringing a welcome dose of New York glamour to the (increasingly American) marina scene. Both are at the top of their game for food and service. Expensive? Astronomically. Worth it? Absolutely. But quality in Ibiza doesn't always have to mean megabucks; as the shadow of el crisis looms, classic good value hang-outs are enjoying something of a belle époque, and who cares if the table wobbles when you're practically eating the fish as they come out of the water? So whether it's 24-carat glitz or off-the-radar rustic, MR PORTER looks at how the smart set will be spending their money this summer.
