Biography
After an 11 year career in advertising, Mr Furnish became a film-maker in 1995, directing the BAFTA-nominated documentary Elton John: Tantrums & Tiaras. His film production company Rocket Pictures has produced independent films such as Women Talking Dirty and It's a Boy/Girl Thing. In 2011 Rocket Pictures released major animated feature Gnomeo & Juliet. Mr Furnish helped to develop the Oscar-nominated film Billy Elliot into a musical and worked with the film's original production team and his civil partner Sir Elton John to develop and produce the stage musical. Mr Furnish is also a contributing editor for British GQ, chairman of the Elton John AIDS Foundation in both the US and UK, and a trustee for The Old Vic Theatre in London. www.ejaf.comMr Furnish's Recommendations
