Breitling's 'Navitimer' launched as a robust pilot's chronograph in 1952 with a case that measured 40mm, but the house has now successfully packed all the punch of the original into this more compact 35mm model. The stainless steel case honours the beaded bidirectional bezel of the early design, which in turn controls the signature slide-rule scale - a development that allows pilots to measure in-flight speed and distance. Contrasting the beige dial, it has 18-karat red gold-plated indices and hands, and a red arrow-tipped seconds hand. The strap is made from rich burgundy alligator with the brand's signature deployment-clasp fastening.
