Editor's Notes

Shanghai Animation Film Studio Co. released Sun Wukong in '61 - a retelling of the legend of a monkey born from stone who rebels against heaven. Oris' limited edition watch is made in collaboration with the studio to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the seminal work. The stainless steel case back is engraved with the anti-hero, while the seconds hand pays homage to his magic staff. Inspired by a traditional Chinese pillar, the red and gold-tipping offsets the blues of the dial and bezel strikingly.
