Started by Mr George Henry Bass in 1876, G.H. Bass & Co. carved its name into the history books by creating the first pair of penny loafers in 1936, playfully dubbing them 'Weejuns'. Over the intervening 84-odd years, its timeless footwear has been worn by everyone from President John F Kennedy to Mr Steve McQueen and is still made using the traditional bench-crafting and hand-stitching methods today.
