Back in the '60s, TAG Heuer forged its modern reputation by singlehandedly inventing the notion of motorsport-specific wristwatches and timing equipment. Mr Jack Heueur was particularly enamoured by the dangerous Mexican Carrera Panamericana road rally, which this racily rendered watch was named after in 1963. This steel version is powered by the failsafe, Swiss-made calibre 16 stopwatch-fitted movement with a 42-hour power reserve and 10-bar water resistance. It has three sub-dials, a date window and ceramic fixed bezel for tracking seconds. The sapphire crystal lens resists scratching, while the leather strap ensures comfortable wear.
