Limited to 40 pieces and the third of four models created for Ressence's tenth anniversary 'X' collection, this 'Type 3X' watch has been designed in collaboration with typographer Mr Stefan Sagmeister, who reworked the dial graphics. Inside the grade 5 titanium case are two chambers separating the movement and gears, with a magnetic transmission connector between. The upper half is filled with precisely 35.7ml of oil to create the illusion of floating hands and indicators, while ensuring legibility from every possible angle. Each day at midnight, the date ring, which is composed of 280 coloured lines, switches from blue to orange - one line is always inverted to indicate the day of the month. In place of a traditional crown, the re-engineered case back can be used to adjust the time, keeping the overall profile of this piece minimal and unique. The olive-green shade of the Barenia leather strap is the common thread that links each model from the limited edition collection.
