Pilot's Timezoner Spitfire The Longest Flight Automatic 46mm Stainless Steel and Leather-Backed Webbing Watch, Ref. No. IW395501
IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN created this limited-edition 'Timezoner' watch for pilots Messrs Steve Boultbee-Brooks and Matt Jones on the 'Silver Spitfire - The Longest Flight' project - in August 2019, they took off from London in a restored 1943 Spitfire to circumnavigate the globe in homage to the "unparalleled engineering of the iconic British plane". Featuring a 24-hour display and bidirectional bezel, this Swiss-made stainless steel reference is powered by an in-house calibre 82760 automatic movement that has Pellaton winding and an impressive 60-hour reserve. The soft-iron inner case protects against magnetic fields, while the sapphire glass crystal is secured against displacement due to a drop in air pressure.
