IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN
Aquatimer Expedition Charles Darwin Automatic Chronograph 44mm Bronze and Rubber Watch, Ref. No. IW379503
Swiss horology expert IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN has been crafting flawless watches since its inception in 1868. Dedicated to Mr Charles Darwin, 'the father of evolution' who once stated "a man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life," this 'Aquatimer' style pays homage to his journey to the Galapagos Islands. The bronze case references the famous HMS Beagle's gleaming (non-corrosive) fittings, and is designed to develop a characterful patina over time. It's powered by a precise calibre 89365 automatic movement and has both a water resistance of 30 bar and a mechanical external/internal rotating bezel with SafeDive system - the brand considers this special edition perfect for "modern expeditions both above and below water".
