Editor's Notes

MB&F's Mr Maximilian Büsser realised his childhood dream of creating a robot friend by harnessing the expertise of L’Epée 1839 for this limited edition 'Sherman' table clock - its name references the prolific M4 Sherman tank operated by the USA during World War II. Small but perfectly formed, this palladium-plated timepiece is crafted with Geneva wave, polish and sandblast finishes and topped with a mineral glass dome where a ticking clock regulator represents Sherman's brain at work. The skeleton is built from movement plates, bridges and an open hour and minute dial at the chest, powered by a calibre 1853 SK2 hand-wound movement. Configurable hands steady the frame as it manoeuvres the rugged terrain of a desk on rubber caterpillar tracks.

We offer a two-year warranty for all working parts and manufacturing faults for luxury clocks. For more information, contact one of our experts by emailing watches@mrporter.com
