It took Bovet five years to finesse the Virtuoso II movement, and seven years to execute the Amadeo® convertible case, which together allow this reversible timepiece to have a coaxial display, and function also as a pocket watch and table clock. This is no mean feat - timekeeping seconds on either side with the same movement involves engineering so that the reverse counterintuitively turns clockwise, too. Housing the movement, this watch is crafted from 18-karat white gold in the 'Fleurier' silhouette, originally modelled after the heritage brand's archival pocket watches, and is hand-decorated either side with classical acanthus and traditional Swiss movement finishes.
