Editor's Notes

One of a limited edition of 500, this 'Arachnophobia' table clock is modelled after Ms Louise Bourgeois' sculpture Maman that MB&F founder Mr Maximilian Büsser discovered on display during business trips in Europe and the Middle East. In creating the exposed movement, Swiss horologist L'Epée reassembled all 218 components of its in-house eight-day calibre to fit the specifications of the model, resulting in a polished central dome with hands and numerals for the spider's abdomen, an escapement with a shock-absorbing Incabloc, oscillating balance wheel and set of jaws for the head, and a mainspring barrel at the back to power the engine. Made from lacquered injection-moulded aluminium, each of the eight articulated legs has realistic ball-and-socket joints so they can extend and stand tall on a desk, or lay flat and fix to a wall like an arachnid ready to pounce. We offer a two-year warranty for all working parts and manufacturing faults for luxury watches. Call our Customer Care team for more information.
