It might surprise you to learn that the uppers of TOM FORD's 'Bannister' sneakers are actually 26% apple peel - it's sourced from juice-making factories, regenerated and PU-coated to resemble genuine hide. The off-white trims are made from leather, which is vegetable-tanned instead of traditionally done to lessen the environmental impact. The list of other eco-friendly details includes phthalate-free aglets, organic cotton laces and soles blended with recycled rubber.
