During the early years of this century, when the penchant for minimalism dulled men's style, cuff links were the only accessory a man could sport without significant sartorial transgression. It's hard to remember that only a few years ago wearing a pocket square represented an extravagant peacock display, and back then, cuff links and watches were the only jewellery a man could safely wear. Now that we have access to the full armory of accessories (pocket squares, tie clips, bracelets, scarves and hats) it's easy to overlook cuff links, but as the simplest way to personalise a corporate uniform they deserve your attention.
