To lend a helping hand, we’ve partnered with tailoring experts Sewn Right to offer our London-based clients an exclusive Private Alteration service on all MR PORTER-purchased garments.
How does it work?
Browse our available clothing alteration services, which include options for shirts, jackets and trousers, and book an appointment convenient for you with one of Sewn Right’s experts. The best part? They’ll visit you in the comfort of your own home or office to discuss your requirements in detail, take any necessary measurements and pick up your garments. For more complex alterations, we may need to arrange a follow up consultation to make sure everything is just right. As soon as your clothes are ready, we’ll courier them safely back to you.

What can I have altered?
As long as your garment was purchased at MR PORTER, we can alter it. Our menswear specialists are all highly trained in working with different fabrics and will ensure your pieces are always in the best possible hands.
How much will my alterations cost?
We take a bespoke approach to each and every piece so the prices can vary depending on precisely what alterations you need. We’ll talk you through the prices at your appointment, but you can find a rough estimate above in our list of services.
How long does it take?
Our tailors work to complete alterations as quickly as possible. Depending on the work required, your finished pieces should be ready in less than 10 days. If you require an item urgently, however, it is possible to request an express service for an additional charge. A same-day service is also offered for trouser hem adjustments.
