FAVOURITE RESTAURANT AND DISH

“I have two in Los Angeles. Iroha on Ventura Boulevard has been a favourite for 20 years and its miso black cod is superb. Also, along the Japanese theme, Asanebo on Ventura holds a Michelin star and provides a wonderful menu/service and fascinating clientele. The daily specials are always surprising and delicious.”

BEST BAR

Soho House in West Hollywood is a safe haven, a beautiful locale and seems to have just the right buzz no matter your mood. The Laurel Tavern in Studio City has great beer/food/atmosphere... a good mix of English pub meets NY bar. Bar Marmont at the Chateau Marmont is a good scene if you're in the mood for fun and people watching.”

VACATION CHOICE

“The Holy Island in Northumberland for the sunsets and because the tide covers the causeway twice daily giving one a sense of isolation. Also, Shelter Island in NY, for the sailing, eating and great company.”

TOP CITY

“New York for the energy and the diversity encountered from block to block. Paris for the architectural beauty and because even after all these years, I still feel like a foreigner on an adventure when there.”
