We don’t know about you, but one of our wishes (don’t say resolutions) for the year ahead is to get outside more. One full calendar month into 2023 and we are feeling more positive about this than ever. The sun is finally up before 8.00am and a 5.00pm sunset is so close we can almost taste it (the flavour reminds us of a negroni, if you must ask).
To celebrate this, we are planning countryside walks and, where possible, some active mini-breaks to maintain the mood up until spring. The key bit of kit required for these adventures is a pair of sturdy hiking boots to keep us looking and feeling the part. They should offer plenty of ankle support, be made from quality hardwearing materials to endure rough terrain and have a lug sole. For those who don’t know, a lug sole is one made of thick rubber with a deep tread to ensure maximum grip. No slipping on scree with these.

Moncler’s Vancouver boots, made from supple black leather, are a smart alternative to more rustic hiking styles.
