The new items we’re sticking on our Wish Lists .
I recently upgraded my closet as the old one had reached its capacity. When I was putting all the clothes back, it came to my attention that I always buy the same styles again and again. So the new plan is to try something a bit different this year.
It is spring in Hong Kong now, a perfect time for some new additions to my wardrobe. (Having said that, I get the same feeling every season.) We have recently welcomed quite a few new brands and designers to MR PORTER, including some that I really love, such as Aimé Leon Dore and Ambush. Below are my picks from this week’s new arrivals.
The Western shirt
I don’t really wear animal print, but I became inspired recently after seeing lots of great leopard-print pieces during the latest fashion week. This Human Made Western shirt caught my eye immediately. It looks super cool, yet not too dramatic with the leopard satin only panelled at the yoke and cuffs.
The rugby shirt
The trousers
Mr P. makes amazing trousers, and I guarantee you this is not an advertisement. Every pair I’ve bought from Mr P. since it was launched last year have been perfectly fitted and we all know that it is not easy to shop for trousers. This pair of off-white linen trousers will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe, it could be easily dressed up or down. And let’s be honest every man should have at least one pair of white trousers.
The loafers
I have always wanted to get a pair of these “Marphy” loafers from Rubinacci as they look elegant and I have been told by our customers that they are super comfortable. I will be travelling a fair bit in April for work and these suede loafers will be perfect for some day-to-night looks.
The hoodie
Ambush’s SS19 “Waves” collection was influenced by designer Ms Yoon Ahn’s trips to Hawaii, which is also my favorite tropical destination in the world. I was attracted to this hoodie by the exotic scene printed in front. More than that, I was immediately sold when I found that it is designed with extra openings on the sleeves to release your arms.
