How to style a few key pieces from our own label.

If you follow MR PORTER on any of our social media channels, we’ve likely made you aware through our unbridled excitement that we recently created Mr P., our very own label. And after months and months of hard work, it’s finally here.

By listening to your concerns as well as employing a little of our own expertise, we set out to design a collection of menswear that was straightforward, trend-enduring, and easy to wear – hopefully you’ll agree that we’ve done a rather handsome job. By partnering with some of the world’s top manufacturers and suppliers to make sure Mr P. meets the highest sartorial standards, we’ll also be updating the collection five times a year to make sure that season-appropriate shopping is as easy as possible.

The Mr P. collection officially launched last week, but a few more items have landed on the site today. And here’s how we’re wearing them.

This teal sweater is made from cosy Shetland wool sourced in Scotland, and will look at home in any man’s winter wardrobe as well as feeling wonderful to wear. Pull it over a T-shirt to keep things casual, or feel free to smarten up ever so slightly by wearing it over a shirt. This one, which is made from Italian cotton and yarn-dyed with ecru and blue stripes will do nicely – let its worn-in collar peek out from beneath the sweater.

winter coat usually involved some kind of compromise on either the style or substance front, but we think this one hits the mark exactly. It has a timeless, sleek cut, will keep you warm, and is even roomy enough to wear over a cosy sweater. We’re a particular fan of this textured monochrome merino wool one that’s woven with a cream, grey and black jacquard pattern that will look great dressed up in the office or dressed down at the weekend.

The relaxed, Japanese-influenced silhouette of this grandad-collar shirt is made from crisp cotton poplin, and comes with an elongated back hem – wear it untucked for a contemporary look. To continue that sentiment, and to keep your outfit clean and pared back, team it with these garment-dyed twill chinos (which are exactly the kind of hard-wearing staple we had in mind when creating Mr P.). Finish everything off with a minimal pair of Common Projects, or some Converse Chuck Taylors.
