The Mr P. footwear you need to step into the new season.
You know how the saying goes: new shoes, new man. Or maybe we just made that up. Though the general principle stands, there’s something quite cleansing about freshening up your footwear, particularly at the dawning of a new season. For starters, it gives your wardrobe a new lease of life. Equipped with a selection of spring-appropriate shoes, those chinos you bought impulsively and only wore once become your new go-to. The bomber jacket you haven’t worn since last March suddenly looks shiny and new again. In short, you should never underestimate the transformative power of loafers, sneakers or the right Derby shoes. And, as it happens, several excellent examples appear in the latest Mr P. collection, our very own in-house label.
There’s the Dennis iteration, which has a collapsible heel, ideal for when the temperature really starts to warm up. Or the soft suede boat shoes with moccasin-style apron-stitching through the front, making them the perfect pairing for relaxed chinos or linen tailoring. And if loafers aren’t your thing, you won’t put a foot wrong with the new suede (have you noticed a theme?) versions of our Larry sneakers, which come in an endlessly versatile taupe, a jean-friendly indigo and a colour-blocked slip-on silhouette. We’re well aware of course, that the weather where you are might not quite have reached sunshine and daisies level. If your requirements still specify something a little sturdier, try the Lucien Derby shoes – they’re half-lined so they’re ever-so-slightly less structured and more lightweight than winter varieties but they still have some decent heft to them. Sorted.
