It’s safe to say Mr Ali Mostafa has a few strings to his bow. He has been named “best Emirati filmmaker” by the Dubai International Film Festival. He has his own production company, AFM Films. In 2014, he won Esquire Middle East’s Man Of The Year award. And, of course, he is a member of our Style Council. All of which means we respect his opinion when it comes to recommendations in his home city of Dubai. So, with a quick trip to the United Emirates hotspot in mind, we decided to pick his brains. WHAT TO DO
“There’s almost nothing that can’t be done in terms of activities here in Dubai. From zip lining across Dubai Marina, to diving with sharks and shopping in the world’s biggest mall. You can even go skiing. But I always prefer to take first-timers to where it all started, and the roots of my family – by the creek in old Dubai. Take an abra (water taxi) and just explore the narrow paths.”
