Introducing: Three New Season Winter Coats

Words by The Daily Team

21 September 2018

The temperature’s falling and the days are getting shorter. If you don’t need an overocoat yet, you will soon.

Men are not known for their forward planning. It may be a cliché. It may be sexist. It may be hardwired into the male DNA. We cannot know for sure without doing a bit of psychological research. It is also said that we are not good at focusing on more than one thing at at time, so we must press on with the task at hand. Which, contrary to the first point, is thinking ahead.

It is raining in London as this is being written, so it is no great leap to consider autumn and winter, and what we may need to face the accompanying weather. With a whole host of new coats on site today, we’re considering which to invest in. Perhaps you should, too. If you don’t need a coat yet, you’ll need one soon.

THE OVERCOAT

To help you decide which coat to buy, we need to establish what type of man you are. Are you smart, a little more traditionally minded? More to the point, are you a 1950s detective? If so, you might like the look of this dramatic overcoat by Dunhill.

THE FIREMAN’S JACKET

Are you at the opposite end of the style spectrum? A fashion-forward, contemporary, rule-breaking type of chap? Are you a fire fighter who likes your protective clothing so much you want to wear it in your downtime? Look no further than Calvin Klein 205W39NYC, which seems to have used a road safety moodboard to create this thing.

THE PARKA

Somewhere in the middle? Fancy yourself as a sophisticated member of a 1990s Britpop band from Manchester? Try this parka by Yves Salomon. Practical and lined with plush shearling. What’s not to like?

If you don’t like any of the above, you can shop the rest of What’s New here. Something for everyone, then.
