Where to eat, drink and explore on a day in the French capital.

With this in mind, and to celebrate the collection, we asked Mr Yann Chareton, director of sales at Hartford, son of the founder and Paris local, for his insider tips on the city. “Hôtel Particulier Monmartre is the smallest and most exclusive hotel in Paris. It’s hidden off the picturesque Avenue Junot. It’s only a few blocks away from Montmartre’s touristy spots, yet it feels like you’re in the countryside, with its amazing garden in the very heart of Paris. The Très Particulier cocktail bar is also a must. It has a typically romantic Parisian interior, delicious drinks and a lovely terrace.”

“I fell in love with this authentic Parisian neighbourhood and it is now where I live. It is often associated with a touristy crowd and souvenir shops, but the district is truly Parisian, especially the west/north side of the hill. The area is perfect for a morning stroll. There are small streets with views over the whole city, and a vineyard in the middle of the hill. It’s like you’re in a village. It has a special charm and it seems like you have travelled back in time.”

“I love the architecture of Palais de Tokyo. It’s a remarkable place that feels very raw, industrial and modern. There is always something cool going on. Look out for temporary exhibitions. The Paris Museum of Modern Art is stunning, and the bookshop is great for art books, but also for gifts and small objects. The terrace of Les Grands Verres, with a view of the Seine and the majestic Eiffel Tower, is definitely a summer hotspot.”

“Septime is one of most highly acclaimed restaurants in Paris, combining the authenticity and coolness of French bistros with gastronomic food. What I love about it is the laid-back atmosphere it manages to keep, which is very in line with today’s times. The food is Michelin-starred yet the setting is informal and the design is vintage and industrial, almost low-key. Make sure you book in advance. It’s very hard to get a table. If you can’t get in, try your luck at Septime La Cave, its casual wine bar around the corner that serves small plates.”

“La Commune is a very cool and creative cocktail bar run by my talented friend Romain Le Mouëllic and his team. The bar is inspired by punch, the earliest cocktail, which is reimagined and modernised here. I like the fact that punch is all about sharing and conviviality. They serve drinks in big bowls, which are perfect for sharing. La Commune only serves French spirits as a tribute to the history of French alcohol.”
