There are certain items of clothing that have existed in our collective wardrobe and sartorial lexicon ever since we can remember. But the enduring allure of denim doesn’t mean it can’t get a makeover every now and then – just look at the SS23 runways for proof. LA-based brand Gallery Dept. was founded to re-purpose vintage garments – its DIY approach to design is particularly evident in these jeans. Each pair is hand-finished by brand founder and contemporary artist Mr Josué Thomas, so no two pairs are ever the same.
