In 1821, French watchmaker Nicolas Rieussec perfected a precise stop-clock for horse racing, whcih he dubbed a 'chronograph' - from the Greek for 'time-writer'. Montblanc has released a limited edition timepiece from its 'Star Legacy' family celebrating the 200th anniversary of the occasion, equipped with a double-barreled chronograph with a fixed seconds hand that recalls the invention. Kept by a calibre MB R200 automatic movement, this reference features a stainless steel case surrounding a gold guilloché dial and nestled on a tan alligator strap.
