Mr Jenson Button is one of the world’s sharpest sportsmen. His 16-year career as a championship-winning racing driver has involved a lot travel and taken in some of the world’s most far-flung places. So, it will come as little surprise to learn that Mr Button is something of an expert when it comes to dressing for the first-class cabin.

“I’m travelling so much that I need to wear something comfortable,” he says. “I hate wearing anything that’s too tight fitting, so I like to go for something with a bit of stretch to it.” Which makes Michael Kors’ slim-fit tapered sweatpants – part of the AW16 collection – the perfect option. Their elasticated waist ensures a snug fit, while a matching sweatshirt made from loopback cotton jersey and fleece-lined for comfort, is a good, low-key option for a high-profile traveller.

Mr Button has opted for the shearling-lined full-grain leather jacket. “This jacket is also perfect for winter in the UK when it’s a little bit chilly,” he says. “So this will suit me down to the ground.” And with his travel look finished off with a pair of sleek sneakers (“I love a versatile pair of daps that work for any sort of event and while travelling”), Mr Button is sure to look as good when he touches down as he did when he took off.
