According to Lauren Cochrane, Senior Fashion Writer for The Guardian, a "sleeker, more 1970s" shape has taken over the shoe industry. Modelled on old-school sports shoes, Officine Creative's low-top 'Halo 001' sneakers have slim, panelled uppers and retro gum soles. They've been handmade in Italy from deerskin and are debossed with a moniker on the heel tab.
