Ready For Sweater Weather? Here’s The Knitwear You Need To Conquer The Cold

Hot summer days and beach holidays are now a distant memory, and the only thing that’s making us feel that bit better about the transition into winter is the thought of the fresh designer duds to recently land on the MR PORTER shelves. Sumptuous coats, sturdy boots, fuzzy accessories and, of course, knitwear. So, to kick off sweater season, we’ve picked out favourite woollen creations from ZEGNA, BODE and more. Carry on reading to see what’s caught our eye.

01. The earthy ZEGNA crewneck
Part of ZEGNA’s Oasi collection, this sweater is great to add a touch of colour and pattern into your neutral outfits. It’s jacquard-woven in a mélange of earthy tones that will transport you to the Italian house’s Piedmontese natural oasis.

02. The understated Mr P. polo
Mr P. designs every piece of its collection with wearability and versatility in mind, and this polo shirt is no exception. Come winter, swap out your classic polo for a cashmere knitted style – its extra soft handle will add a luxurious feel to your outfit and keep you extra warm.

03. The chunky TOM FORD half zip
Featuring a half-zip construction and coming in a chic shade of off-white, this sweater from TOM FORD is a refined option for the cooler months. And in a wool and cashmere blend that boasts exceptional softness and warming qualities, you’re sure to feel as good as you look.

04. The Loro Piana mélange sweater
Few brands do cashmere better than Loro Piana, and no knitwear selection is complete without one of the Italian luxury brand’s legendary sweaters. The chunky, ribbed knit seen here is blended with a generous amount of mohair in a palette of navy, maroon and grey to create a cool mélange finish.

05. The traditional BODE mock neck
BODE’s sweater is inspired by classic “lopapeysa” – a traditional Icelandic style from the 1960s that’s characterised by its geometrically patterned yoke. This one’s knitted from alpaca, whose soft and fuzzy handle makes it a cosy companion on cool nights.
