De Bonne Facture's 'Forest' jacket takes cues from classic French guncoats. It's been made by Atelier Hervier Productions, a workshop in Châtillon-sur-Indre, France, using checked cotton-canvas that's waxed for waterproofing. Cut straight, it has a hem that drops a little below the waistline and raglan sleeves for a touch more room in the shoulders and chest.
