Hit us with your best shot.
It may be getting more and more expensive to live and work in London, but luckily, taking photos of our fine capital is still free. (For the moment. Sigh). It’s a photogenic place too, as evidenced by the almost three million posts under #london currently circulating around Instagram. To celebrate this fact, as well as the launch of the city’s leading photography fair Photo London, which runs from 19 to 22 May at Somerset House, we at MR PORTER are launching an Instagram competition in partnership with the aforementioned exhibition and peerless camera maker Leica to find the very best London photographs out there. All you have to do to enter is to post your favourite London photograph on Instagram using the hashtag #MRPORTERphotolondon, tagging @mrporterlive and @leicauk in the caption. The person who posts the photo we like the most will not only win a Leica D-Lux camera, with which to soup up their considerable photographic skills, but also a £500 MR PORTER voucher, so they’ll look rather good while they’re doing so, too. The winner will be announced Sunday 22 May, to coincide with the end of Photo London, so get snapping. We’ll feature some of the best entries throughout the competition period, so make sure to follow MR PORTER on Instagram to be kept in the loop.
