We catch up with the Myanmar-based entrepreneur.
London, New York, Berlin… Yangon? If Mr Ivan Pun has anything to do it, well, certainly. The Hong Kong-born, Myanmar-based entrepreneur and founder of Pun + Projects is a driving force for culture and art in the town he now calls home. Mr Pun has spent the past half-decade setting up lauded local projects such as TS1, a pop-up centre for contemporary art and fashion, furniture brand Paribawga and a string of restaurants including fast-casual joint Rice & Ice, the health-conscious Locale Café and Southeast Asian bistro Rau Răm. A gregarious and sociable chap, he’s also extremely well-informed when it comes to design, fashion and architecture, which made him an easy choice for inclusion on the MR PORTER Style Council. Scroll down, and get to know him a little better, or visit his page on the Style Council to discover his recommendations for the best places to eat, drink and sleep across the globe.
