The hot spots to check out on the White Isle.
Ibiza: as well as a neon-soaked mecca for nightclubbers who are unfazed by sunrise, the Mediterranean island is also home to a wealth of lush landscapes, high-end restaurants and hotels that showcase a finer side to Balearic life. This summer, IWC Schaffhausen sent a few of the gents from MR PORTER’s Style Council to the island on a bespoke summer experience, to see the island for themselves and sample some of its splendour; we’ve compiled their recommendations below.
EL CHIRINGUITO

El Chiringuito may be nested on Es Cavallet nudist beach, but the atmosphere here is meditative, tolerant and comfortable, and is what Mr George Lamb calls “the perfect place for some Ibizan R&R”. With live music, beach service and a kids’ club, it’s a stone’s throw from Ibiza Old Town, and is a secluded gem worth a visit.

EL PORTALON

For a restorative break from Ibizan nightlife, look no further than El Portalon. Situated in a rustic, vine-covered square in Ibiza’s Old Town, the restaurant is an ideal place to relax in the dappled sunlight in the daylight, or under twinkling fairy lights in the evening. The menu is just as enchanting: as well as the freshest seafood, the restaurant’s menu boasts produce grown by chef and owner Ms Anne Sijmonsbergen on her local farm.

LA GRANJA IBIZA

La Granja, a members-only retreat set among Ibiza’s pastoral inlands, is the ultimate Balearic farmstead and has everything from citrus forests to fig-scented pastures surrounded by mountains on one side and ocean vistas on another. If you want to experience the Ibiza untouched by tourists, this is a must-see. “The plant-based dishes are straight from their immense garden,” explains Mr Patrick Seabase. “Great vibe and lovely food.”

BLUE MARLIN

Perhaps one of the best-known beach clubs on the island, Blue Marlin is the perfect go-to for everything from sushi on a sun-lounger to a bountiful cocktail menu that will see you well into the evening. In Tinie Tempah’s words: “I usually associate my cocktail experiences with the aesthetics of the location I’m in and for that reason, I’d have to say Blue Marlin in Ibiza as sand, sea, music and women are all complimentary.”
