If you eat out a lot in New York, you’ll probably be aware of Mr Alireza Niroomand. The renowned maître d’ joined the team at Italian restaurant Sant Ambroeus five years ago, after stints at Country, Buddha Bar and Bagatelle, and has since become the brand’s creative director and brand ambassador. Born in Iran and raised in Paris, Mr Niroomand brings years of expertise and natural charm to hospitality. He began his career working for Mr Alain Ducasse as a back waiter and eventually called on him as a mentor. Today, in his role for the SA Hospitality Group, Mr Niroomand has continued to build his community, creating partnerships and collaborations with brands including Superga, Oliver Peoples and Colette, which culminated in a Sant Ambroeus takeover of the iconic Parisian store during fashion week in 2017.
