Mr Tom Holland

What are we calling this? Spider-Man: Missed The Bus Home? Mr Tom Holland – for it is he, don’t let the mask fool you – could not be more chilled as he walks on, rather than swings acrobatically above, the streets of Manhattan. Purple isn’t everyone’s go-to colour, so the low-key khaki chinos are a good balance for the Pangaia hoodie, which is also pairing nicely with the World’s Tidiest Beanie. Almost completely under the radar is a pair of Nike X Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 sneakers, recognisable for their layered pastel corduroy uppers.

Mr Édouard Damestoy

Mr Édouard Damestoy is better than this. He is far too cool, far too much of a French professional skateboarder to be standing near a branded neon palm tree for clout. But it’s OK. Because, while he is standing near a branded neon palm tree, his expression, chilled-out clothes and relaxed stance tell us on a deep, cellular level that he has better things to be doing after he has stopped standing near a branded neon palm tree. Things like being a French professional skateboarder. Something you and I will never, ever be (à moins que vous ne soyez).

Mr Omari Douglas

Mr Omari Douglas’ personal style might not be as adventurous as that of Roscoe Babatunde – his on-screen counterpart in Mr Russell T Davis’ HBO series It’s A Sin, an unapologetically queer, exuberant sexpot with a skin-baring style to match. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a spot on our best-dressed list. “A lot of my references tend to come from Black historical archives that I follow on Instagram,” he told us recently. From the colourful, loosely knitted sweater to the adidas X Wales Bonner Japan sneakers he wore to Florence + The Machine’s performance, we sure could take some style notes from his following list. Name someone who dresses a black suit down better than him… We’ll wait.

Mr Malcolm McRae

He’s a musician and actor, but you might know Mr Malcolm McRae best from his red-carpet appearances with his partner, the famous elfin actor Ms Anya Taylor-Joy. They’re a perfect match in the sense that they’re both very good looking, tall and well dressed. We’re particular fans of this loose suit plus trench coat plus shaggy bowl-cut combo. It’s delightfully 1980s and Inspector Gadget and 2000s rocker all at once. It’s also put together, clean and considered – proof that putting thought into your outfit pays off.

Jay-Z

Easing into his role as elder statesman of rap, the days of Jay-Z being anything other than the top billing are long behind him. However, in a show of support for friend DJ Khaled, who this month earned a coveted spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Mr Shawn Carter chose to keep his outfit relatively subdued (for the record, DJ Khaled was dressed head-to-toe in an Art Deco coral, a nod to his Miami roots). Of course, the word “relatively” is doing some heavy lifting here, as is the Brooklyn rapper’s wrist given the size of his watch – not a Hublot or big-faced Rolly, but an ample chunk of Audemars Piguet. Jay-Z continues to look like wealth, but has a sense of style that even a billionaire can’t buy.

Mr Delfin Finley

With both of his parents being fashion designers, which probably helps a little, LA-based artist and sometimes model Mr Delfin Finley knows how to dress. Here, he has opted for a striking striped double-shirt with two extra sleeves (so if you get cold, you can switch to the long sleeves – smart) by Balenciaga. As the shirt is the avant-garde main character of the outfit, it pairs nicely with the simple oversized black Bermuda shorts and plain white T-shirt, and the delicately splattered low-top Chuck Taylors (a fun little nod to him being a painter). The subtle silver jewellery also adds a refined touch to the look.

Mr Ryan Reynolds

Mr Ryan Reynolds seemingly has a knack for what we’ll call “covert casual dressing”. What he does with his clothes is straightforward and simple – almost too simple – but invariably feels sophisticated. It’s perhaps a lesson that there’s nothing wrong with chilling out in the centre of your sartorial comfort zone. The moss-coloured suede trucker jacket he’s wearing here is an ideal match for those beige chinos, white sneakers and blue shirt. It’s not trying too hard, but that’s exactly why it works.
