Inspired by the kind of slip-on shoes traditionally worn by Norwegian fishermen, George Henry Bass created the first pair of penny loafers back in the 1930s. This suede pair has woven detailing on the toes, resilient hand-stitched seams and rubber-trimmed soles for traction.
