Dopo La Spiaggia is the other Sag Harbor hotspot for dinner, with a cute little outdoor garden and an excellent kitchen.
Sag Harbor is an ancient (in US terms) whaling village on the northern side of the Hamptons. Its marina looks almost Mediterranean in the right light, and Dopo La Spiaggia (“after the beach”) fits that vibe with ease. Overseen by chef Mr Maurizio Marfoglia, it majors in light, easygoing Italian classics with simple local ingredients, but it’s the remember-your-name service and family-style welcome that keep people coming back. The rustic patio also boasts views over the harbour.
