Nobu Malibu - Men's Style Council Place

Wherever you might find a Nobu in the world, you know what to expect – thrilling Japanese fusion cooking, an effortlessly glamorous scene and that attention to detail that justifies its standing as a must-visit restaurant. Nobu Malibu might be the best looking in the stable – almost every table has a view over the Pacific Ocean, and the sleekly minimalist dining room balances fun and sophistication in an inimitable way. Order one of the dishes exclusive to Malibu – kobe beef with shiitake mushrooms and sugarsnap peas, maybe.

Mr John Pearson’s Guide To LA

Nobu is…Nobu… Sip a cocktail in elegant slumber and be hypnotized by the crashing Malibu waves, lit as perfectly as a scene from a Tom Ford movie. And then feast on arguably the best sushi in LA, possibly in the USA. Again, it’s about the buzz as much as the feast. Always busy, it’s interesting to watch the crowd – a veritable who’s who in all variants of industry. I was recently surprised by how many twentysomethings were in attendance, which naturally begs the question: how can they afford it!?

Yellow tail jalapeño, new style salmon sashimi, king crab in ponzo, artichoke salad, baby spinach salad with truffle dressing and my favourite Dover sole with chilli sauce.
