If you only eat one dish in this brilliant, buzzing Shoreditch barbecue joint, make it the pulled beef brisket with pickled red chillies in a buttery bun – it’s the dish that gave head chef Mr David Carter a name for himself on the London street-food scene before he set up this permanent venue. In the kitchen a Texan smoker is put to good use on the likes of pork rib, or house-made pastrami, or bone marrow with corn cob. The best barbecue in London? It could well be.
